What makes us different? 1. Certified organic Our herbs are not just naturally or organically grown. We are certified organic from farming all the way to processing. This ensures safe, clean and potent medicinal herbs that you can use without worry. 2. More than 40 years of experience Founded by a TCM doctor since 1979, we have more than 40 years of experience in sourcing for potent and effective Chinese herbs. 3. Potency and safety tested Our master herbalist will make the initial selection. Then, tested using scientific analysis such as microscopy, Thin-Layer Chromatography (TLC), High-Performance Thin-Layer Chromatography (HPTLC), and other “fit for purpose” technology. The potency of our herbs meets and exceeds the standards designated by the Pharmacopoeia of the People’s Republic of China. We screen for close to 200 types of pesticides, according to guidelines set by the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP) and the European Union (EU). Our herbs are also tested for heavy metals and microbiology. 4. Geo-authentic herbs “Di dao” Similar to wine, “terrior” that includes temperature, humidity, soil, terrain and micro-climate affects the potency of these medicinal herbs too. In TCM, we refer this to “Di Dao” where it is always preferable to source from geo-authentic sources rather than non-native environments for both potency and authenticity. 5. Proper harvesting and processing Herbs are collected at the optimal time for their growing period, using both knowledge of our ancestors and scientific methods. We harvest according to season, time of day or stage to capture the plant’s peak potency where their active constituents are laboratory tested. Careful drying and storage with modern designed machinery to minimize mold, insect and inappropriate moisture levels to ensure they are delivered to you at the best state. 6. Responsible and sustainable sourcing One of our top priorities is to preserve the biodiversity of ecosystems and longevity of herbs. If the use of a herb is not sustainable, we will not source it. We also take only what is needed, not wasting any material and re-populating the plant species. This will protect and preserve these sources of medicinal herbs for future generations. 7. Traceability You literally know where your medicinal herbs come from. This comes with strong partnership with growers in the region to guarantee a constant quality of herb delivered to you every time. 8. Truly unsulphured Although there are many products claiming themselves as unsulphured, many times, it only refers to the final stage as preservatives. Many do not know that sulphur had been used in the processing as bleaching and rendering to make the herbs look more “pretty” and solid.
