Description Description: Clearspring’s Organic Barley Miso (also known as mugi miso) is a traditional Japanese fermented soya food. It is slowly aged for 18 months in cedarwood kegs using time-honoured techniques. The result is a concentrated miso with a rich, savoury and slightly sweet flavour. Ideal for adding depth and umami to soups, stews, beans, marinades and sauces. Instructions for use and precautions: Use instead of salt to enrich the flavour of your dishes. One teaspoon of miso seasons about one cup of liquid. Dilute in a little cooking liquid and stir in towards the end of cooking to preserve its natural enzymes and flavour. Do not boil. Storage: Store in a cool, dark place. Refrigerate after opening and use within a few months.
