DescriptionHope Woodturning Courses with Stewart FuriniStewart has been demonstrating and teaching woodturning and embellishing techniques for nearly ten years. He is an accredited AWGB woodturning tutor and is on the Register of Professional Turners. He has demonstrated extensively in the UK at clubs and national turning events, and internationally in Europe and the United States. You can follow him online at his YouTube channel.Tariff: £250 per person for a 2-day course.  All timber and tools supplied. The amount paid online is a deposit and will be deducted from the invoice total. Stewart will make contact a few days before the course starts. The total is to be paid directly to Stewart just before or on arrival.  If you can’t make the course booked, we are happy to move it to another date within 5 days of the course running. Day Beginner Turners CourseThis two day beginner course will cover the use of the main turning tools and types of cuts. Day one will cover spindle turning techniques focusing on the safe use of the spindle roughing gouge, parting tool and spindle gouges. After learning and practising truing cuts, beads and coves, there will be some time to work on a range of project pieces such as bud vases, egg cups, pots or simple boxes. Day two will build on the previous day’s skills and introduce the use of bowl gouges and scrapers for faceplate turning and will again include some project work with the turning of simple projects like a tealight or a small bowl.A range of finishing techniques will be covered on both days.All wood, tools and equipment will be provided. Please wear suitable workshop clothing and stout footwear. What a fantastic couple of days. Turning, Spray painting, decorative finishes. All equipment was supplied, including paints, protective gear, stencils etc we all past our course with shining colours by learning how to stip down maintain and clean up our spray pens.
